It is a regenerative medicine technique that takes advantage of platelets that are present in the blood of the patient to stimulate skin regeneration.

What is it about?

The platelet-rich plasma is a regenerative medicine technique that allows the use of growth factors that are naturally present in the patient's platelets to stimulate the regeneration of the skin structures. It is a derivative of blood, exclusive and proper of each patient that stimulates the production of collagen, elastin and epidermal tissue, resulting in a firmer and better luminous skin.

It is very safe because of their autogenous nature,  which means to say, platelets and growth factors come from the patient. That's why an immune reaction is not apparent nor carries the risk of an allergic reaction.

What does the procedure consist of?

Through a small blood sample from the patient and subjecting it to a centrifuge, a platelet concentrate is obtained, which is subsequently applied to the skin as a microinjection, thereby stimulating the healing process and favoring the formation of new collagen.

It is done in an outpatient clinic and the blood that is obtained is prepared at the time by hematologists, by a process which follows precise biosafety standards and hygiene.
